Gave a talk about my research this week...
I think it went well. Nobody attacked me or asked me what the purpose of my research is like last year. Now I just need my paradigm to work and I'll be set.
Grades don't matter...
...At least thats what we are told in grad school.
Somebody should tell certain neuroanatomy professors that we actually want to learn things not just recapitulate some incorrect information about the brain to get a decent grade on an exam.
We're not starting an fMRI study group on campus for fun, we're starting it so we can actually learn things. Maybe if a certain class wasn't such a ridiculous joke and waste of time, we wouldn't have to include neuroanatomy in the list of things to cover.

Gabino's Diner
Some friends and I recently went to a fantastic little diner featuring some amazing Mexican food. Check out my write-up here.
