Benny the Squirrel

Combine this with heaps of vegen baked goods and you have Clark University in a nutshell. (Pun intended)

Yes, I saw Benny while I was at Clark. He didn't have a documentary about him or a facebook group then though.

Where the Wild Things Are Trailer

I guess the last one was just a teaser?

This looks really good. It's directed by Spike Jonze so it'll probably be dark and weird (and funny?). Though after watching The Sopranos it really weirds me out to hear James Gandolfini's voice coming from an imaginary monster creature.

Also, apparently the soundtrack was composed (in part) by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and features songs by The Arcade Fire. So, at the very least, the soundtrack will be good.

Continued

Along with some fellow graduate students I've decided to learn to learn the ins and outs of Matlab so I can use it for something more than just running SPM. Combined with learning Python, this psychology degree is starting to look frighteningly like computer science.

Python

No one outside of grad school is advised to learn programming languages in their free time right? Sometimes I wonder how I got myself into this.

Comic Strip

via XKCD

A significant amount of my time is devoted to things like this. Earlier today while running some stats, I simultaneously researched the various classes of Star Destroyer and the Burroughs cut up technique. I probably shouldn't be allowed to use two computers at the same time.

Also, while finally putting together my bed frame last night, I seriously considered building a fort instead.
